Sometimes the hardest part of starting a DIY project is simply finding something you want to make. My personal order of priorities are:
- Will it be useful to me or someone I know?
- Is the time requirement low?
- Is the cost low?
Sometimes I’m willing to splurge, spend extra time or make something that might not have the greatest end use. But most of the time if the above three criteria are met, I’m in. This blog will hopefully inspire you to make some easy craft ideas and inexpensive DIY sewing projects.
My name is Becky and I live in Seattle with my husband and 3 adopted pets. My mom taught me to sew when I was 5, and after a short diversion to get a BS from the University of Washington in Speech and Hearing Sciences, I ended up making a career out of clothing and apparel design and development. During the week you can find me at my corporate day job, and on the weekends you can find me sewing or volunteering at the Seattle Humane Society. This blog is my personal creative outlet and I hope you get some inspiration or ideas for your future projects.
