I actually completed this outfit a few weeks ago, but haven’t been home during actual daylight hours to get any sort of decent photos. The holidays, eh? They get me every time. These photos were taken before work one morning when it wasn’t quite fully light out…but they’re as good as they’re gonna get.
Skill level: This sewing project would be good for beginning to intermediate sewers.
Time commitment estimate: It took me about 3 hours total, including cutting the pattern and ironing the fabric.
Which I also used to make this sweet onesie:
I used McCall’s M6016 for the shorts.
Which I have also used to make this shirt:
And these pants:
I found the shirt pattern fairly easy to follow. It was only my second time using Kwik Sew, so I think I just need to get used their patterns and how they’re worded. The shorts are very easy to make. Super easy. I will make these tiny little things for years to come, I’m sure.
To make the buttoning of the shirt easier on such a tiny person I added a strip of snaps and sewed buttons to the outside placket to make it look functional.
