Baby romper

My workplace is having a fundraiser in a couple of weeks, and my group’s contribution is to make a new baby basket that we’ll then auction off. Inside of it will be things like diapers, wipes, a spa gift card for mom, etc. I figured I could add to it by making something. I wanted to keep it in the 3-6 month range, which narrowed down my already owned pattern options quite a bit. Then I went with one I hadn’t made in quite a while.

The last time I used this pattern (McCall’s M4424) was about 6 years ago. You can check out images from that baby hat, dress and bloomers set here.

As you can see from the photos, I decided against doing the bows at the back that the pattern calls for. I think they’re adorable, but I wanted to go with something a little less cutesie this time. I stuck with fabric I had on hand already and love how this brown and ditzy floral combo turned out! You may remember the ditzy floral that I got at DryGoods Design from this pair of baby harem pants that I posted about a few weeks ago.
