I was on a pouch-making kick a couple of weeks ago and decided to throw some into the mix that have a lining. (Check out my tutorial on how to make a zipper pouch with no lining here.)
I like to have tabs at both ends of the zipper to create a more finished look. Below is a tutorial to make a simple pouch with lining for yourself. To view it larger, download the PDF here.
What you’ll need:
- A zipper that’s at least 7″. I bought this bag of multi-colored zippers and love that I’ll have zippers on hand for a long time to come. You can very easily make a zipper shorter, like I do in the tutorial below.
- Fabric. I got the fabric in my photos from DryGoods Design in Seattle. This is another great option. Really though, any cotton will do. I wanted to use something that was easy to sew and easy to wash.
