Fall Knit Poncho

When I made this poncho, it was the first time I had used McCall’s pattern 6603. I chose a printed knit fabric and after quite a bit of use, I ended up selling the poncho to Buffalo Exchange a couple of years ago. But I was very excited to discover the other day that I still had photo evidence of it!

The second time I used this pattern to make a poncho was much more recently. I chose a woven fabric, and made it a few inches longer than what the pattern calls for. If I made any others I would go with woven fabric again for sure because it’s easier to sew and I like the way it drapes better. (Check out the post on the woven one I made here.)

If you want to make this poncho for yourself, check out this link for supplies I use for just about every project. In addition, I used this pattern (McCall’s 6603).

I sort of wish I still had this knit poncho. I’ve sold quite a few things I’ve made that come back to haunt me later on. A good lesson to keep in mind for the future I suppose.
