For something that seems so easy, turning a narrow tube of fabric right side out, can actually be pretty difficult. There’s a way I always do it that I thought might be helpful to pass along. The secret: chopsticks.
I just posted about this fruit salad romper I made, which has faux ties at the side seams.
First step is to sew the tubes to be the correct width and length. Then trim seam allowances down to 1/8″, with a diagonal clip at the corner.
Using a chopstick, start pushing the fabric into itself at the sewn end.
Pull the tube the rest of the way so the whole thing is right side out and press.
