The Tiniest Ghostbuster

When I found out a good friend of mine was going to have a baby girl, I knew I wanted to make something appropriate for a future badass.

Once I decided on a ghostbusters romper, I knew I wanted to start with a jumpsuit pattern of some sort, but had no idea there would be one so perfect out there already. I used Kwik Sew K3730, and just added the ribbon, name tag and Ghostbusters patch. To be honest, the pattern wasn’t super easy to follow. I don’t know if I was distracted since I finally made it to the 10th and final season of Friends that I was watching at the same time I was trying to decipher the instructions, but it got complicated there for a bit. Plus the fabric was very flimsy and not easy to work with either. I was focusing on color and not on quality and should have found something that was easier to work with. I actually want to make another one of these with different fabric just to see if it’s as complicated as I thought.

I wasn’t able to find the shades with the yellow lenses like Kate McKinnon wore, but these white Babiators were the next best thing.

I also made this romper baby-friendly by adding snaps in the crotch.
