I came across photos of these coats I made for people a few years ago and thought, why not post them now as a nice little throw back.
When I made these coats I was trying to do the whole ‘make things and sell them to people on Etsy while blogging about it’ thing work full time. It was a lot of fun, but I was working 18 hours or so a day and definitely wasn’t bringing enough money in. It’s a lot of work to make a pattern for a garment, fit a muslin version if it’s made-to-order, sew it, take photos of it, write a blog post about it, post it to Etsy, etc.
This blue one is about a size too big, so it definitely wasn’t made to fit me. But it was close enough that I wanted to get some photos on-body.
Fun fact: I actually made the shirt and skirt I’m wearing in these photos as well.
This white one is closer to my size and definitely would have been the size I made for myself. If I could have afforded it at the time, ha. The photos below were before the final pressing, so ignore that the front hem doesn’t look great.
