I don’t know if you can tell, but I love this baby pant sewing pattern. They’re so cute for baby boys or girls and they’re so easy to make. Which of course makes them the ideal addition to any baby gift. I’ve made several pairs for baby gifts in the past as seen here, here, here and here.
I’ve also used this chambray/denim fabric a couple of times before. I bought it with the intention of making overalls for a couple of toddlers, but instead ended up making a top using a vintage pattern for myself here, and a tiny baby skirt for a friend’s new baby here.
These little guys are size 0-3 months. The hardest part was sewing the hem since it’s such a tiny opening. But luckily this fabric has a bit of stretch to it.
My favorite part about this pattern by Wiksten patterns is the French seams on the inside. It makes the inside of the garment look just as polished as the outside. Check out my tutorial here on how to make a French seam if you need a refresher.
I can’t wait to see them on my friend’s newborn baby in a few months!
